Sancta Sedes Latine

Rorate Caeli points out that the Vatican's website now has a section where the documents issued by several Pontiffs are available in Latin, in one place.

Actually, it turns out that there is a Latin section to the Holy See's website, with the documents of th Supreme Pontiffs, the Second Vatican Council, the Catechism, the Code of Canon Law, and a link to the various dicasteries of the Roman Curia.

Gaudeamus igitur!

Poking around the site after last night's Frak Party, I discovered that they have exactly one item listed under Feriae (Romana Curia --> Latinitas --> Latinitas-Opus Fundatum in Civitate Vaticana --> Feriae Latinae)

It's the Rusticatio Virginiana Secunda, to which I sent in a application and check about a month ago! (I still haven't heard whether or not I have a spot at the gathering, which makes me nervous.) I had no idea that there was any connection between this event and the Holy See.

Here's hoping!

Ooops! I now see that there is a second gathering on the page, but note that it is run by the same group, the west-coast based SALVI. (While they reorganize their site, cf. the old English index.)

Very interesting.
