Interfaith meeting

On April 17, Pope Benedict will meet with representatives from other religions: Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Islam. (I wonder why the Sikhs didn't make a cut? Too many South Asians? :)). Chris Blosser provides a brief profile of the representatives and the gifts that they will offer the Holy Father.

check out how low on the totem and close to washington (i.e. easily available) is the muslim participant. could they not find any muslim leaders willing to meet with the pope? or perhaps did they not try?

Apparently the Sikhs would not come without their daggers, so the Secret Service said they couldn't come.
