Magna Carta Is Going on Auction Block - AOL News A rare copy of the original, which has been on display at the National Archives, on loan from the Ross Perot Foundation, which has decided to sell it via Sotheby's.

Before they built the display case for it at the NA, I saw this copy of the Magna Carta in its previous, lecternal case. While queuing past I overheard two teenagers.

"Magna Carta? What's that?"
"Some treaty between the British and the French."
