Planespotting!

So while waiting to board the Delhi flight at Charles de Gaul's brand new Terminal 2E, I had an opportunity for some fun planespotting. Enjoy!

An American 767 taxiing to the gate

An Air France 777 takes to the skies ...

...followed shortly by this Yemenia A330.

Cathay Pacific Cargo 747 about to touchdown.

An Air India 777 slowing down on the runway. Notice that the thrust reversers are still deployed.

What can you tell us about the planes here or here?

Ummm, do you just look out the window and know what type of plane it is? Do you have to study pictures to know these things, or are you just a plane genius?

Also, what type of plane (and when) will be bringing you back to DC? I miss you. Plus, I owe you dinner (perhaps the night of the televised Georgia game??? two fun things at once?)

Hardly a genius ... I'm an aviation enthusiast. And spotting planes is as easy as spotting different brands of cars, once one knows what one is looking for. I've been fascinated by planes since I was a kid, so there's familiarity bred over a long period of time ... :)

It won't be a plane bringing me to DC -- I'll be driving up from SC on August. The GA game sounds awesome --what date is it? See you soon!
