Another reason why Google earth rocks ...

It can help people hold their governments accountable. No wonder it's considered a threat to National Security in India. [I always laugh at the paranoia the Indian Government displays about taking photographs, and so on. Banned at airports. At the friggin' Taj Mahal too. How assinine is that? Back in my college days, when we needed detailed topographical maps for geological field surveys, we had to get special permission for the areas around Bombay, since all areas within 100km of the border/coast were "restricted." Of course, "special permission" simply ended up being we took a map out of a locked cabinent, photocopied it and used it. I think the Survey of India probably still has these absurd rules in place. :: sigh ::] Can Google Earth Bring Down The AP Government ? » Digital Inspiration
