Terror strikes India again ...

This time in Malegaon in Nashik district, some 100 km from Bombay. 31 Killed 100 Injured in Malegaon blasts (The Hindu). Conspiracy theories and speculation abound: Malegaon blasts: is it Bajrang or Lashkar? (TOI). I shudder to think of India's self-important 24/7 news channels with their chattering anchors roaming the streets of the terror-struk town trying to drum up a pathetic soundbyte or two.

Via Desipundit is a link exploring the history of sectarian violence in Malegaon.

Oh most blessed Virgin Mother of God, on this holy day commemorating your birth, watch over the souls of all those killed, and be with those who mourn and care for the injured. Let the perpetrators be brought to justice swiftly.

[For all y'all US based readers: it's pronounced "maa-lay-gaa-on"]
