I was looking on the Technorati site and, because the formatting is much simpler, I saw "Stephen Colbert Gregorian Chant" and thought, "I gotta see this!" But alas, it was a trick of the Technorati. :)

LOL ... at some point after hitting "publish" I realized that this concatenation of terms might itself skew future searches!

Now to get Mr. Colbert to sing chant on his show ... :)

Well, he hasn't done any Gregorian Chant that I know of, but he has busted out the Gather hymnal before. Have you see the King of Glory sketch on You Tube? It's from his TV show "Strangers With Candy."

It is quite the thing of beauty. Also, I'm sure you've seen the Nicene Creed clip floating around the Catholic Blogosphere, but in case you haven't for some reason, here's a link to that:

I hadn't yet caught the Nicene Creed so thanks! Oh yes I've seen the King of Glory -- it still sends me into splits!

Amy Welborn had a whole round up of links and posts on Colbert and Catholicism a little while back ... and I'm sure you've caught his interview with William Donohue of the Catholic League?

He rocks! :)
