Why the green cassocks?

guess the servers cassocks follow the liturgical calendar. Green for Ordinary Tim.

"Ordinary Tim"? Do I know him? Why does he always wear green?

Ugh ... that darned internet cafe keyboard! [And haste, too :-)]

Hmm ... I'm sure there's times that Tim is quite extraordinary too ... :-D

Thanks for the pictures Gashwin!

I've added a link to them in the comments section of three related posts.

By the way, I don't think the Altar Servers follow the liturgical calendar. If they did they would be wearing white/golden for the "solemn" occassion. :-)

KonkaniCatholic: thanks!

Hmm --- the concelebrants were wearing gold, as were the deacons, you're right. The readings however were for the 12th Sunday of the year.

Maybe they don't have gold/white cassocks for the servers? (The only other color I've noticed in India is red, which is, I think, also used in the US).

Or maybe, they're celebrating the monsoons with green ... :-)
