(Episcopal) news from back home ...

SC i.e. Trinity (Episcopal) Cathedral in downtown Columbia opens its new Center for Mission and Ministry. And a dear friend makes it to the papers. For good reasons too! :-)
The facility, designed by Heyward, Woodrum and Fant and built by Kahn Construction, will be made available to the Columbia Interfaith Basketball League. Trinity also hopes to develop partnerships with other charitable organizations.

“The great potential is there, and I guess time will tell how well we live up to that potential,” said Bill Canaday, a member of the outreach committee.

Canaday said he hopes Trinity can reach out just as it did in the 1980s, when the congregation established the Trinity Housing Corp. and St. Lawrence Place to help low-income families move into stable housing situations.
