See y'all Monday

So with the Thanksgiving break, I'm going to take a break from blogging as well.  See y'all Monday (when I'll probably produce fifteen posts or something like that ... :) ).

(posted Saturday PM) Wow, you really meant it!

Once you get back, you might be interested in looking up a movie that Izzy and I saw previews for this evening: Title is something like "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World." (Or maybe "Syriana...) It's an Albert Brooks project, and includes trips to India and Pakistan to look at what makes Muslims laugh.

It comes out in January; we'll get it at the Nik sometime next summer...

Hmm -- sounds fascinating. Syriana was featured in a recent issue of Time, and doesn't sound at all like what you're talking about. Though I do want to see it -- Goerge Clooney looks rather like, I dunno, a cross between Saddam and Castro in the picture in the magazine?

Ah, here's the IMDB page for what you're talking about Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World".

'Cept the picture on there shows this guy with half the Taj Mahal behind him. Is India part of the Muslim world? I guess so -- second largest Muslim country and so on. Strange that I just don't think of it so!
