(I've seen this all over the blogosphere, so not sure where to give credit ... :)) This reminds me of something I'd heard about a British woman whose choice to continue her pregnancy with a potential Down's Syndrome child gave rise to a huge public hullabaloo, where she was lambasted for her decision, criticized for bringing in someone who'd suffer, who'd be a burden on the public health system etc. I cannot find any references out there -- anyone else have any luck?
